I'm meh... really depends on the use. Love my shaft for the winter- less inspection/maintenance. Love the chain off road b/c shafts are heavy, get dinged and don't hold up as well. Belts aren't great for the stuff you find offroad.

I'm the low maintenance sort. Shaft drive is one of the big reasons I bought the bike I have.
