Incidentally, I agree with oldnslo...105mph isn't very fast at all.

Maybe not to you, but it is still well over the legal speed limit pretty much everywhere in the world. Unless you are on a track, it is unlikely that the average rider needs to go over 80 - 85 mph anyway.

I rarely go over 75mph on my bike. why would I want to go faster than that? it just shortens the amount of time I have to react to unexpected road hazards.

First of all, I was just joking about the 'Girls bike' thing. It's just a bike....& a great fun bike it is.
Anyway....At least....I have fun on it & so have a few clients of mine over the past. The little Sporty has surprised a few 'non-Harley' riders in it's time, not necessarily about it's short comings (Pardon the Pun), but just how much fun it is to ride.

FUN is what it's all about folks, not politics. Some of you people need to relax a bit.

And if you think 105MPH isn't really FAST....I'd like to see you hop off at that speed & RUN!

Professional racers do that, but have the ability sometimes to slide long enough to reach running speed, jump up, and trot off the track.

Nothing wrong with loving one particular brand really I guess, but it may look boring from an outsiders point of view. If that person is happy to be 'Brand' Loyal & stick with a particular brand, why not I say.

I have owned over 30+ bikes (40?) & have played the field, so to speak, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki etc & loved them all.

These days I just prefer Harley's.

I'd also like a Buell....Ducati, KTM....Blagh....Blagh....Blagh

P.S. When are you buying your new Kenworth or Mack....or....Scania....or....whatever.

Proof again that hop-ups, done improperly, can actually detract from a bike's power output. I read a whining letter to a magazine tech editor from a Harley owner who had spent a few thousand on hop-ups, but his buddy on a stock 1400 Intruder could leave him for dead. Know what you're doing before you start ordering speed parts.

All of the hop-ups were installed by the dealership that sold the previous owner the bike, so I would certainly hope they were done right. It's just "proof again" that you can't squeeze blood from a turnip.

It's just an opinion, fella, don't take it too personally or too seriously. I have ridden my buddy's 883 plenty and can say in all honesty I hate that bike. It feels more like a farm implement than something I would want to tool around on. And, no, it's not because I ride a bigger bike because I remember feeling the same way when I still had my NightHawk. I thought to myself, "Man, I'm much happier riding a 20-year-old Honda than a late model 883". But, hey, he seems to like it so, different strokes for different folks I guess. It's just too heavy, loud, and clunky for my tastes.

It's not my fave Harley either....but I'm not being insulting about it.

On a personal level, I won't take what you said 'personally' but it's just not a classy thing to say to anyone.
