LADIES - Do Women...

i think women have a different attitude when it comes to riding. We like to stay cool on the road but men would go crazy like racing on a busy street with all their mights!

For me, riding is one of my few escapes. I used to go for drives sometimes just to get away, but it's kind of creepy having 3 empty seats and the radio stations we get around here... not the greatest. So I took up riding. Different from the car, riding lets me be me. It can be relaxing or thrilling. That feeling that the bike and your body are somehow joined... hard to explain but I think you all know what I mean. So anyway, I ride because it keeps me alive.

So just know we aren't all showoffs. The problem is, when the male motorcyclist sees a woman... all that goes out the window. Wheelie!!!

Not to butt my male opinion in where it isn't wanted, but it seems that men are more willing to, LoL, "manhandle" the bike. We will force the bike to do what we want, pushing it a lot harder, and forcing it through turns.

Watching the ladies from my Aunt's and Uncle's club they are more likely to let the bike do it's thing. It isn't a more relaxed attitude, it's more of a willingness to work WITH the bike, instead of forcing the bike to conform to the riders wishes.

I could not disagree more with your observation. I have a woman that I work with that practically wallpapers her office in Moto GP. I was instantly in love and asked if she rode. The next day I went to lunch with her. She rode her Suzuki GSXR and definatly knew how to make it purr. She was blowing through the corners NICELY! Later at lunch I was invited to attend the track with her. She pays track fees every weekend and can really beat the crap out of all the men out there ( Including me) Mabey that is why she can beat all of us. Because she doesn't manhandle it.

I think that when we have our knees in the breeze regardless of our sex , we are all basically experiencing the same freedoms and self expressions .
As far as "Manhandling the bike" my spousette tends to run at least 10 miles over the speed limit and push it where she wants it to go . Where as I have become a little more laid back in that respect .
But the thrill and joys of being in the wind are equally shared .

Ooooooo! Sorry - but I just HATE that. I mean really, does Fred have the same attitude about riding as Burt? Or Wendy the same attitude about riding as Samantha?

I like riding for alot of reasons but one of them is that I don't like to be shoehorned into 'A" category and here we are drawing a line between men and women... again.

Strange, I am the only one from my family of three boys who was pre programmed in the womb to be a motorcyclist. It's got to be a gene thing that programs us all to enjoy the same things that happen when we ride. Sure, there are a lot of variables but all the basics are the same regardless of sex. Bikes just push our buttons in the right places.

There are so many answers but for the sheer joy , thrill, passion , freedom and because I love it. Its powerful , peacefull close to mother earth on and on, Sexy etc.
