I'm a government cog. I use a computer while sitting at a desk inside a big building, and my employer doesn't own the computer, the desk or the building.
Best Part: I recently got certified to train, and I enjoy that element of the job very much when it comes along.
Worst Part: Office politics, plain and simple.

Re: What do you do in your regular life?
We lost the contract I was on...so I am contracting myself out as an Electrical Quality Coordinator, Electrical Superintendent or an Electrical Construction Manager...since making the switch, I've had to turn down work a few times...lots of demand...nice to feel needed!
Still working two weeks on, one week off...kind of, I've only had six days off in April if I count the 28, 29 & 30th. They would have had me work straight through, but you have to take time for family...
