Pretty much any motorcycle is unobtanium to me at present, as I don't even have a permit, and don't see any sense in buying something I can't legally ride yet. However, here is a quick list.
1948 Harley-Davidson FL
Any 1953 or older big Indian
Triumph Tiger T100C
Bridgestone 350 GTO
1969 Honda CB750
Any BSA
Vincent Black Shadow
And finally, one that I'm surprised no one else has mentioned:

Any original Crocker.

Wow for a guy who doesn't even have a permit, you sure know a lot about bikes!Flat Knuckle wrote:Pretty much any motorcycle is unobtanium to me at present, as I don't even have a permit, and don't see any sense in buying something I can't legally ride yet. However, here is a quick list.

And a new one (for me) I just saw at the dealer last weekend...
Matte white with gloss black... Go see one at your local dealer and hopefully you'll agree it's a sexy machine!

I am much more likely to end up with this Kawi than the Brutale or the Tuono. Let's face it, I'm a Kawi girl...!

Re: Unobtainium - what are you trusting for???
I think we should all be able to have at least three bikes...Touring, Street & Adventure. But if you have to pick just one, I might have to trade in the MT-01 and get a Touring/Adventure bike...Super Tenere, Explorer, R1200GS...or on the lighter adventure side, the Versys 1000 or VStrom DL1000
I just want a warehouse to keep all my toys and never have to sell them...but since that isn't going to be happening anytime soon
Choices have to be made...
Later.

I've got Street (Superduke) and Touring (VFR) covered but not Adventure. Love to have me a KTM 690 Enduro to fit that bill however...madjak30 wrote:I think we should all be able to have at least three bikes...Touring, Street & Adventure. And bike storage IS a problem, and therefore Jen keeps me at a two bike limit....
