keihin carb model vd59a jet holders

#1 Unread post by biker bob 12 »

Did find out the jets are same for all four carbs--but found a difference with the holders--diff part # and the bleed holes are arranged in diff hole pattern---I think I may have mixed them up--I am going to remove carbs again and see---What I need to know now is where do these go--two the same for front carbs and the other two for rear carbs--one set has two holes close together and a third hole a distance away (front carbs????)--the other set has the three holes evenly spaced together (Rear carbs????) or vice-versa?????
Also going to check float levels to make sure all are set at 6.2mm ---as stated in a post the problem I am having is what seems like a no fuel avaliable at around 50mph around 6,000 rpms--the engine will not rev beyound 6.000--at lower speed the tac will wind out normally.
Also suspect fuel pump--will be testing this soon--all fuel lines are new with no kinks-new filter (fuel)-clean air filter--removed and cleaned carbs-benched syn carbs--later used manometer--they are close but need to sync some more--plugs are clean--this is a honda 1984 vf500c magna v 30 v four---just bought so don't know if or what problems were going on--seller just said it has been setting in the garage the past 5 years but it ran great before he parked it.
