1982 cb900 custom replacing front fairing
I purchased a 1982 cb900 custom and the front fairing is in pretty rough shape and I was wondering if I could just pick up a new headlight, housing, turn signals and brackets and replace it. I started removing the fairing and I found that there is a black box (I think it has a bunch of wires in it) right around the area where the headlight would go, just down from the speedometer. Can I put the headlight in front of it to cover it or would that be too high? and would that look right?

Hello James and welcome to the forum. I believe the box contain the wiring connections that were originally in the headlight bucket.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

So I can remove that box or do I need to leave it and put the headlight in front of it?
