what is on my plugs?
1985 xj700. just took 550mi highway ride and my plugs look like this. what is the red color on insulator of 2 center plugs and what do you make of the white electrode on far left plug?

Your plugs don't look that bad. Go ahead and change them out. Do a compression test.

good deal. thanks john. i have never seen red stained plugs before. i did use several different fuel stations but all 93 octane. BP, Shell, Mr Fuel, and some off brand on in Michigan (only place close). i did read it could be something they add to their fuel but why only on 2 plugs?

From drag racing experience. Someone has run cam2 fuel in that bike. Does it to every plug in our duster
