Non-Zumo GPS recommendations?

#1 Unread post by Grey Thumper »

My 5-year old Garmin Nuvi 500 is starting to go on the fritz, so I'm wondering what you're using? (PS, I'm not willing to shell out US$600+ for a Zumo).

A map. Lol
Get a smartphone. They have all that stuff.

Yep, I always bring a paper map anyway :)

Can't always use a phone where I ride; data/cell signal are unreliable when I'm in the boonies. Thanks anyway.

I only know of two motorcycle GPS systems, one is the Garmin Zumo and the other a Tom-Tom Rider.

There is a third option, though...I use a Naviduck GPS system, got it off e-Bay for $10 including shipping. It's mounted on the handlebars next to the speedo. Real simple to use, too. If I ever get lost, all I have to do is tap the duck's head and I immediately know exactly where I am - sitting on the bike, right behind the duck.
