Moving in the winter is dreadful here in Utah, and moving over the holidays is always miserable.
I grew up an Army brat, and I can remember many a turkey deli sandwich for Thanksgiving and more than one Christmas mornings in a motel room. So, better to wait for the thaw and the holiday season to pass.

We wont be buying until the Spring though, so that particular place likely wont still be available. But it's significantly under the budget we're shooting for and still big enough for us, so that bodes well for the rest of the house hunt. Now if the market will just stay right where it is for six more months. (-:

Why not put in an offer with a closing date closer to when you'd be ready to make the move. Gives both you and the owner a bit more time to organize before the move. It's what I did on my first house purchase, offer in early Dec, possession in late Feb...

Had Thanksgiving dinner with Carrie's family this evening, spent some time catching up with a few that don't often make it to our neck of the woods. Carrie's got a cousin who just started riding this summer, took the MSF BRC and picked up a nice Virago 250 he's been learning on. I've invited him to the board, I hope he makes it before we have to ban new registrations to beat back this Russian invasion. Keep an eye out for him. (-:

Now, we're just chilling around the dinner table at home, Carrie and my daughter are putting a puzzle together and it's a nice quiet evening. We're letting her stay up too late, but oh well...

Bought some new pets -- who knows what a Budgie is? We've got six of 'em...

We've got four girls and two boys, at least, that's what the people on the budgie group Carrie joined on FB said.

I got 2 baby canaries once from a guy who had too many baby canaries...I ended up with a boy and girl and they had babies...

I gave them away to someone else who was interested in a mating pair.

Budgies are fun.

Mike loves budgies! Also known as Parakeets. We have contemplated getting one for the past while. We should just suck it up and do it.
