I went to a bar with my boss two weeks ago, after work. I had 2 beers, then a plate of nachos. about 30 minutes later we left. Both of us on our bikes. I was still a little tipsy, and on the way home it started pouring down rain. Well i made it home fine, but i got so paranoid on the way home that i will never do it again. Other then that ive never ridden and rode. Now when i was about 18 i drove many times drunk. But after my mother was killed by a drunk driver i quit drinking alot and never drove anymore. ( except for a couple of weeks ago.) About 2 beers a month is what i drink now.

My 'local' is 30 odd miles away. There is a temptation to have just the one while I am there but so far I've resisted.

Mostly because I am a lightweight and I'm convinced that even at legal blood alcohol levels I am not safe.

Depends how cold it is and where in the world your drinking, in SA all they sell is lager, I have not had a decent bitter in twenty years. Probably one of the reasons I do not drink and drive, the crappy beer here is just not worth it.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R

Ain't that the truth. I haven't had a beer in years... but I remember. And I drank the worst one of them all - it was called Scheaffers and it was something like $1.59 for a six pack when I was in college. This is not a joke - thier ad campaign used to be, "The one to have when you're having more than one!"

Nope, I won't drink and drive a bike. Booze and a bike is a formula for disaster.

The only time I ever drink is at a resturant, and I've never had more than one at a resturant. I'll ride when we're done eating.
