Hypercharger Instalation

#1 Unread post by glarkin »

Hi, any recommendations on installing a Hypercharger on a Kawasaki Vulcan 800. is it very hard? should I get someone to do it, especially since some drilling is involved? I have had the carb off, could I take the carb off have the work done and reinstall all? About how much would it cost to have it installed? In Dallas recommend anyone?

Sorry lots of questions, but you guys helped me fix my first problem with the carb and it runs great.

i believe there is a mounting kit and a jet kit you would need to fit the hypercharger to the vulcan. im sure you know this is normally a HD accessory, but its possible to mount to a vulcan. Kurakyn makes such a kit.

P/N 8446 Hypercharger for Vulcan
P/N 8593 Mounting Kit for VN800
P/N 8562 Jet Kit for VN800 (170 main jet)

good luck 8)

Kurakyn recomends a dealer install because of the carb rejetting and tuning. If you have the skills feel free, otherwise, I would take their advice.
