Ok, Jeff, I checked out Turple Bros for you.
Honda CB600F4 (that's what the tag said, bike said 599) - ~$8200
you might also want to look at this one:
Suzuki GS500K4 - $5200
for that difference in price, I would go with the GS, but that's just me.

I got it July of last year, season was over at end of Sept. We don't all enjoy the weather that you do...scanevalexec wrote:3000? Do you ever ride the thing?Sevulturus wrote:It's in great shape, 3k KM,
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Just kidding ma' man. But I am very far from a region that has no Winter. We've had a lot of snow and it hasn't broken 60F yet. Not having a garage has forced me to put a lot more Winter miles on my bike than I would if I had a nice warm place to keep my bike.Sevulturus wrote:I got it July of last year, season was over at end of Sept. The GS is a great bike Owen however Jeff has a few k's under his belt.I feel the 599 would be a better choice it would be a bike he would want to keep for a few years.Just my

I'd have to agree. The 599 is twice the bike....MASHBY wrote:WhyteGryphon wrote:Ok, Jeff, I checked out Turple Bros for you.

I've been inspired, I'm going to try to call them and work... something out. My biggest problem is, I want to see if they'll take the savage as a trade in, but I'll need an aprox value before I bike down to Calgary. And these places do not like to do business over the phone. My basic plan is to describe it in intimate detail and find out if I can get it at around what I want. From there I'll either decide to bring it in, or wait and sell it myself. I don't HAVE to buy it, as mine still works, but I would definately like to move up a bike.
I'll figure something out, it's at the price that I want, now I just need to make 100% sure I get the summer job I applied for. They've called me back, but there are some labour disputes with the union... there's a chance something bad might happen, but the way things stand right now I'm in.
Sorry, I write what I think sometimes, it's a good way to figure out what I'm actually thinking. That being said, I wanna say thanks to everyone who feels I'm mature and experienced enough to move up to a bike of this calibre. It's a good feeling to know someone else has confidence in you.
There's gotta be an easy way to make this work.

Honestly Sev, they won't offer you anything for your bike like you need. You will do SO much better selling it yourself but you better get on it, as they won't have 2004s kicking around for very long.... I'd suggest throwing your bike in the paper for a week or two and see if you get lucky right away.

Trade in is only good as last resort. However I would put the Savage in the Bargain finder and seem what happens.Remember they probaly are a few used 599 about to come out as so many people buy bikes for a season then get bored with them or give up biking. So even if you miss out this deal Im sure others will come up.Remember to keep you price as realistic as you can.You can get a new 05 Savage for $5299 + Tax.I see so many adverts of year old bikes that people expect to get $500 under what they paid for it.When You can get the new one for only a few hundred more.Good Luck Jeff and keeps us informed.
