Re: What did you do today...
After three months and one week since getting my fangs pulled out (smoking ruins not only your lungs, but can seriously f-up your teeth, as both my sister and I have learned the hard way), I got my new fangs, a full set of uppers and lowers, now come the task of learning use them and also relearning how to speak.
Always ask why.

Went on a ride out with BMOC today, got some good video which I will edit.
In the meantime here is a very short clip of the group riding past, you may want to crank up the speakers to head the exhaust notes of the old machines, including an Ariel Square 4.

Re: What did you do today...
Picked up my Trophy from the shop, where it had been since May 16. Mostly waiting for parts. New brake pads all around, all hydraulics flushed, new front tire, and rebuilt front forks. (Waiting for the fork rebuild kit from Triumph, which had to come from England for a bike this old, was what took most of the time.)
The front tire, which was a Michelin Pilot Road 3, lasted 12,000 miles which is some kind of record for this bike. The piece-of-cr@p Bridgestone BT-020's I had used previously would be cupped out after 4,000 miles. Needless to say, I replaced the front with another Pilot Road 3.

Re: What did you do today...
Today, I joined the BMOC on their annual Duffy Lake Run. Weather was perfect if a bit warm to do arguably the best motorcycle road in BC. The GoPro was ready to go and was its spare battery and SIM card to video the entire ride....yes a great day of riding to be had..........................at least that was the plan..........just like jstark was, I am still waiting for parts to arrive for my Trophy.......dropped it off at the shop almost two weeks ago to replace the ignition switch and the part has yet to arrive..........so instead of going on the ride I've been looking forward to for months, I instead stayed home, did my laundry and napped.........there is no god!!!!!!!!
Always ask why.

Re: What did you do today...
I took my motorbike to 2nd Gear and got an oil change and service. All is well.
I also bought a 3/4 helmet and wore it home. It sure did feel nice having the breeze on my face.

A 3/4 helmet. Wow, Blues.blues2cruise wrote:I also bought a 3/4 helmet and wore it home. It sure did feel nice having the breeze on my face.

I used to own one, but it is long gone. I like having that chin & jaw protection. Well, for sure you'll have more ventilation. It was hot as hell here today, I gave up riding after being out this morning - too hot to have all the gear on. Even my summer mesh stuff.

I sold the 06 Ninja 250. Oh happy day.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

I agree that the full face offers more safety....when I go on the highway I'll be wearing the full face.jstark47 wrote:A 3/4 helmet. Wow, Blues.blues2cruise wrote:I also bought a 3/4 helmet and wore it home. It sure did feel nice having the breeze on my face.I'm kind of surprised.

Slept in, unclogged a drain, shampooed the carpets, cleaned the deck, watered the forest behind me....well...as far as the water from the hose would go....tried in vain to figure out how to download an app to my cell phone....
Sigh.....they don't make it easy....
