Hello everyone. I have not ridden in 30 years, about eight years of riding before the dry spell. Found an 86 yamaha VMX12S with around 22k and purchased it. I have been driving it since the last week of may every day, brought it home in five hours of thunderstorms for about ninety miles; loved every minute of it. In the past I have driven honda fours, kawasaki kz 900s, triumph 650s etc, nothing is like this one. Now, for the question, has anyone lifted these with lifting slings in order to work on them or change a tire. The one I bought has a four into one super trapp, no center stand and the header pipes are below the frame. If no one has any advice, I will let you know how it goes when changing a tire with a two ton engine lift, slings on the frame and some jack stands.
