For perspective though, when the T509 Speed Triple was first released in the late 90s, didn't the public hate the twin bugeye headlights? Partially because at the time, most didn't get that the design referenced the look of streetfighters (which started off as a UK/Europe phenomenon)? IIRC, for the first few years of the "bugeye" design, early T509 Speed Triple buyers could opt for a single round headlight as an option (the earliest generation Speed Triple, the T300, used a single round headlight).

Today of course, the twin round headlamps are considered an iconic and classic design detail for Triumph's naked triples (both Speed and Street triples).

Notes: To use a Brittish term, it's a bit of (Heinz) Spotted Dick (google that). It's pretty good, everyone likes it but it's not exactly new and can be improved. We would all like to see Triumph return to the "retro/traditional" twin round headlights and would like to see the engine a little more refined. But the overall design of the bike is quintessential British and is lovely.
