Gears grinding on 2003 Yamaha v star 650
When the bike is running I can shift into 1st gear with no problems, when I let out the clutch I get a soft grinding sound. If I can get the bike moving and shift into 2nd gear when I release the clutch I get the same sound. I have the clutch cable adjusted properly to about a nickels worth of free play. Can anyone help me out please

Just a wild guess, but your clutch plates might be worn out. How many km's are on the bike? Are you using motorcycle or automotive formulated oil in the motor?
