The problem with most bike mags is that the focus on the new machinery coming out and not much about older bikes. Some will have the odd article or feature about a classic bike occationally, but for the most part, they deal with the current crop of bikes available from the showroom.

CycleWorld quite often has short features about custom/restored/classic bikes in thier "American Flyers" section, but they also make thier bread-n-butter from reporting the new bike tests.

If you do find a mag that deals with older bikes from a presentday perspective, let us know. I would subscribe to that in a second.

I just subscribed to Sport Rider and Motorcyclist. I've picked up SR off the shelf and read it in the store a few times.

I figure 37 bucks for 18 months of both magazines is pretty cheap. That's only 12 bucks a year for each one.

I subscribe to a british mag called Classic Bike.

Looks like it's right up your alley. It's expensive tho and only covers the classics.

I would recommend that you get something like Cycle World, and then get this magazine as a supplement. Or If you really want to spend some dough, also get the British magazine Bike. A very well rounded magazine with alot more content than the american magazines. But you pay for it.

I just subscribed to Motorcyclist Mag. I was going to send in the postcard for $10 for 12 monthly mags, but I decided to do it online instead, they had an option for immediate credit card payment which reduced the price to $8!

Each one costs $3.99 US on the newstands!! They also had a 5 minute long offer after I purchased the MC subscription for a $12.95 for 8 Sport Rider issues...but I didn't get it, that would be like $21 for both if anyone is interested. Great deal......eventhough you get a ton of ads....but hey, it gives you something to do.
