I've babied these brake for about 150 miles or so, and they work well. I'm impressed with the EBC sintered. They were $30 each side after tax. I could redo all four disk drakes on my car for $30. And tires- don't even get me started. Oil? Costs the same as a car or more with a decent filter. Who said bikes were cheap?
i have the 600 katana i went to get my rear brake pads from a local shop they wanted over 50$ for the cheapest pads and had to wait a week to get them. i ended up finding http://www.calsportbike.com/ they got me galfer pads for 30 shipped. havent gotten them on yet, been lazy but im sure they will be awesome pads ha.

oil i just did recently, used castrol gtx oil bought a case for i think 25$ changed my bike and car and still got half a case left so that wasnt too pricey. a buddy of mine insists on using amsol every 3k miles which is costing him a fortune obviously.

bikes certainly arent cheap though, but ive put more money into my stupid old car recently than the bike so im not complaining about my bike right now. its the labor at the shop that really kills you im doing everything i can to learn to work on my bike to avoid any trips into a shop.

Nobody who's owned one for more than 5-10 thousand miles...... or your average, head-in-the-clouds tree-hugger spouting off about saving the planet.

Great, the Vegans are gonna join forces with the tree huggers and soon all we will be able to get is seaweed burgers at McRauchy's. Then us carnivours will be forced to make 'soilent green' with the Eco-clans. At least they'll be grain-fed and fairly tasty......

i saw some story, in russia someone was growing weed amongst other crops they used to feed their cows, so the govt came in and took All the crops leaving the cows with no thing to eat. the people arranged with the govt to feed the cows the weed that they confiscated. imagine the milk out of those cows.

i saw a show on public television that said that is what is so screwed up about Panda bears--their stomachs are developed to eat meat but they eat bamboo--might be worth it if people started caring as much about motorcycle bums as they do about Panda's.the reason i was watching public television was to see how geeks feel all the time.
