Got a job at Myra falls mine in strathcona park on Vancouver island. Very pretty out this way. Doing construction mining in some old mines in the area. Prepping for decommissioning and what not. Pretty neat.

Been out here for three weeks on this rotation. So far not too bad. The time difference for talking to the family sucks a bit though.

Well came back for my second run. And found out this is something called “the rainy season”. Yeah, it lives up to its name. Lol

Re: NorthernPetes Bike Adventure
Well I pulled the pin on the job in BC just before Xmas. Being 3 time zones away from the family just wasn’t doing it for me so I found something a little closer. I’m working about an hour north of Thunder Bay at a palladium mine. Good camp, less travel and some better pay. But half way through my first run I caught the Covid so I’m quarantined in a hotel for a bit until I test negative then I can fly home. So that’s a thing. Lol
Hope everyone’s safe and sound.
