If you're going to do four wheels and a motorcycle engine...
Caterham Super 7 fitted with Suzuki GSX1300RR Hayabusa power.

World speed record attempt in reverse:
102.2 mph in reverse with no modifications of any kind
(investigation underway to determine if this sets a new World record) As the busa has no reverse, they put in a separate reverse gearbox wich means the damn thing has 6 speeds in reverse as well

that kart is pretty wild.
iirc they did a version of the 7 a couple of years ago with the honda fireblade engine installed. was supposed to be the lightest 7 ever built (100% carbon fiber body helps).
Ive seen an mc engined kart before. Though it was built for dirt. had full suspension and used a CB400 engine with a shift lever rigged to work the bike tranny. used an ATV style swingarm/chain drive in the rear. and a simple A arm setup in the front. for clutch actuation the bikes clutch lever was attached to the back of the steering wheel. and ATV brakes were used to stop the kart.
