If someone with a smaller bike would care to lend it to me*, I'll happily take it on to the Freeway's round there.
If I cant cope on a 400-500cc bike as recomended by a lot of the American riders on here I'll stand a pint for everyone on the forum.
*We were trying to rent one and cruise from Daytona to Orlando, but it seems impossible to rent a mid sized bike in Florida.
Just wait until you get here and see the traffic. Here is an example, Interstate 4 has 3 lanes of traffic each way between Orlando and Tampa. Traffic moves at appox. 80 mph with about a 3 car length distance between cars, if you go slower, you have people passing you at incredible speeds and making sudden lane changes. All three lanes will be full of traffic and then from out of nowhere the flow goes from 80 down to 40, screeching tires and most every day a few crashes. I don't want to be the guy riding two up on a ninja 250 doing 60 when the guy behind me doing 80 and doesn't see me comes plowing into me.
It's not that Americans just want bigger (although some do) there is some justification to it.
I will ride 100 miles out of my way to avoid the congestion, I've been rear ended too many times and don't want it to happen on a bike.
