actually someone in his frickin same year sonata waved at me as we passed each other while i was in my car. i looked at my girlfriend and thought it was the funniest thing ive ever seen. guess some people have hyundai pride maybe. me i just like to watch the dirt pile up on the sonata in front of the house. then when it rains i can say "cool, its a little cleaner now"

I got waves from lots of other people.
My bug is not typical though. Its a 73 but has a ~90hp 1776 in it. Its loud and mean sounding (dual carbs plus header and dynomax muffler) and has a bit of a lopey idle from the cam.
Unfortunately the car was hit last year (was the other persons fault). Still haven't decided if im going to replace the car or try to fix the damage.
got some fun plans for the motor though. Going to build an EFI system for it and possibly turbo it.

It would make one hell of a trike with wheelie bars...........jmillheiser wrote: Going to build an EFI system for it and possibly turbo it.

Forget about waves, what about strangers just coming up and talking to you?
Not only have I had them walk up and start talking about bikes at gas stations, but at traffic lights with one guy even showing me a picture of his Road King!!! Of course we were wating for a train to pass, but bikes are definitely an attention grabber.
