Yikes!

#1 Unread post by Kaige »

Well today I refreshed myself on some hard leaning! Phew..

I went into a corner a little too hot, with a minivan coming in the other direction. Couldn't break, so I pushed that handle bar like I was shoving someone out of bed! :oops!:

I guess my bike is a good leaner, it ended up not even being a close call. Just a little nerve wracking for me, however Dixie didn't seem the least bit phased by the maneuver.

Holywetmypantsbatman! It might have been fun if there wasn't someone in the other lane, but let's not do that again k?

Next time I'll remember not to be so stupid! Slow to entry speed, dummy. My heart in my throat is not a cool sensation AT ALL.

I am proud of myself though for smoothing out my downshifting and actually venturing out to go to the bank! It's the first time he's been out of the neighborhood and parking lots.

I got passed going 35 in a 25 mph area by some jerk on a sport bike though. That annoyed me. Passed on the right no less, in a big hurry to get to the stop light, at which point he must have downshifted wrong or slammed on his breaks too hard because his rear wheel locked and his bike's butt was doing the cha-cha toward the intersection. Nice.. was it worth it to impress me?

Sounds like a fun ride.
Those little oopsies in the corners sure do teach you what the bike can do......

I've done the going too fast and having to lean harder than I thought I could thing. Welcome to the club! I think some of the best lessons are the ones where you get a little scare. Shows you where your limits are or aren't.
