I personally hate the look of a windshield. I love cruisers that look 'bad', and putting a windshield on one doesn't help that image.

Having said that, one of the biggest reasons I switched from crotch rockets to cruisers was because I love to go on long rides (like, for a few days). For that purpose, I'd go with a removable one.

I vote for removable windshield. I have a Harley Dyna Super Glide Custom. It looks better with it off, so if i'm just cruising around town, or short stints of daytime hiway, I take it off. But for long trips or night time, there is no way i would ride without a windshield. There is way less fatigue and bug pelting with a windshield!

Thanks everyone! I've been riding for about a month now and completely agree with putput, it doesn't seem nearly as windy on the freeway as it did in the beginning, and I'm really starting to like the feel of it! I'm still probably going to get a removeable one for long rides and night riding; those little bugs hit hard!

I could have used a windshield riding home today, it was pouring. My "100% waterproof" rainsuit is not "100% waterproof", or even close....still it was a fun ride as usual.
