I'd love to see an Alphasport. I bet they're sweet.

I'd have to vote for my Rebel. I love this bike. Went out just to cruise around in it for an hour or so this morning after my run.

I'm still using it as my primary commute to work. Easily gets over 70 mpg and 80 + isn't unheard of for me.

I can see how people find them small. It's perfect for me at 5'6".

Those are some nice looking bikes. Mind you, I havent seen too many that I thought were ugly.

Forget the cruiser. I would get a used Ninja 250.

I ride my wife's rebel around town once in a blue moon. My only beefs are it's a pain changing the oil - wish it had a centerstand. Wouldn't want to go cross-country but it's a fun bike - surprisingly quick stoplight to stoplight. Love the mileage and the sticker price.

The build quality seems to be very good. Fit and finish is nice, as well. I get a lot of compliments on my bike. I can't help you on personal longterm experience. I have about 1000 miles on mine, and have had no problems. Some of the guys from the yahoo club have over 40,000 miles. So I assume the longterm reliability is good.

The only 2 250 cruisers I've ridden are the Virago and the Rebel. Of the two, I think I'd go for the Virago. It had a noticably peppier engine.

In the 250 world, I'm really impressed with the speed and performance of the Ninja. It's very un250-like. I was thinking that Kaw should make a cruiser version, since that seems so popular in the U.S., but then I started thinking about some guy riding down the highway on a cruiser looking bike that was howling at 13,000 RPM on a liquid cooled parllel twin. It just doesn't seem right

I haven't seen an Alphasport/Hyosung in person yet, so I'll reserve comment.

Personally I think I'd go for the Hyosung. I might be tempted to forget the cruiser and go for the gt though. Kinda like the looks of them.
