Sealed Battery?

#1 Unread post by doubleds69 »

Hey everyone,

I have a 1986 Kawasaki Ninja 600R and I think the battery is on its last legs so I'm looking for a new one. I've been told by a guy riding many years that sealed batteries are a worthwhile investment, so I've been checking those out.

Thing is I've only found sealed batteries that say they're for newer models of the bike, so does anybody know of any sealed batteries that work with this bike, can I use any with the right voltage and amp hours (I think a YTX12-BS fits this description?), or am I stuck with a flooded battery until I get a newer bike?

Anyway, any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Doug

A sealed will work fine as long as it's within size and output specs.
