Well I have somehow fixed my bike.

I am not sure exactly what the problem was but I think it was more than one.

While awaiting my manual I disconnected, cleaned and lubed EVERY electrical connection on the bike. Still would not start.

Next I was searching for a failed wire or switch around the ignition and the kill switch, none found.

I unscrewed the plug wire caps and checked the spark on the bare wire, had spark. I remembered that on a car CDI ignition and coils (normally) either work or not work no middle ground, if their function is intermittent the fault lies in their power supply.

I pulled the right plug wire off the plug and inserted an old plug and grounded it to the head to check for spark. The engine started and ran on one cylinder. Stopped engine put plug wire back on plug in head, wouldn’t start, repeated the above, engine would start and run on one cylinder. Removed apparently failed (new) plug and replaced it with the old one, engine starts and runs fine.

Can someone explain this?

Thanks for all your help.

Defective plug. Did it come out of a red and black box, by any chance?
The place you bought it from should replace it for you, if it was you that bought it.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:
