I would go for it...... if they made one that THUMPED, and said BRAAAAAAAP and made real bike noises that bikes have been making since the beginning of time.

Ever play that game for the Playstation 2 called Freakstyle? It's got Mike Metzger as one of the characters and he does that sometimes when you pick him as your rider. I love that!

I was reading someting in Car and Driver magazine about using hydrogen as an alternate fuel, and it turned out if all motorcycles and cars in the world were turned to hydrogen as a fuel source our carbon emmisions would double, making it twice as bad for the enviroment. it is also dificult to seperate hydrogen from other elements, which would exghaust more resources. I guess we would never run out of it though, seeing as it's the most plentifyl element in the world and all.

The magazine is, well, wrong. They assume we would burn fossil fuels to pull the hydrogen from water. It can be done easily with solar energy. And on an individual household basis (a solar panel and a hydrogen generator), it is very efficient. There would be no carbon emission. The only emission from burning hydrogen as a combustable material is water (once some of it combines back with oxygen).

Ive been following the progress of these guys for a long time.

They'll force us to switch to all alternitive fuel before the oil runs out, and we could and ,most likely will, prostest to be alowed our bikes because of their duel economy and low emisions.....

I'd personally like to rig up a bike to run on hydrogen like on that website! It will still burn as a combustable gas, so it should still sound nice :)

It would have to be an EFI fuel system though, and I dont have a bike with one of those. It would be perfect for me to be able to fill up at home. But until there are hydrogen fueling stations, that definitely limits the trip distance.

I would like a fazing in period of, 30 to 40 years where we can have both. No problem for me tootling around on the concept bike.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R
