Vulcanman500 gets a cbr600f Hurricane!

#1 Unread post by ronboskz650sr »

Here's Chris on his hurricane. He got it delivered Sunday, and he's working it over cosmetically. I'm sure he'll post the finished product, but in the meantime...Here it is. You'll notice the side farings are gone. I think he plans to keep it naked, because he likes the giant exposed frame. This bike is very comfortable! I'm kindof in shock, because it's obviously a sport bike, but I expected it to be a torture rack. maybe all those road bicycle miles got me used to the leaned over position. I'm acyually considering a bar change on my bike since I rode his, and y'all know how happy I am with my bike! I intend to experiment, now that I've ridden the hurricane. Anyway, here he is...

Gratz on the new bike,
and way to turn me green!
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Nice Ride Chris! Have fun with the extra ponies.

I would love to see the look on your face the first time you hit 10,000 RPM.

About those extra ponies...They are definitely eating their oats! This bike screams like a 600 supersport should, and I guess it was the one to beat in its day. I can see why, just from the couple times he let me ride it. What a hoot!

Yeah, if I remember correctly, the Kawasaki GPZ 600 dethroned my FJ600 in 85 or 86, then the CBR ate the Kawi for lunch.

I read last night ...The cbr600f hurricane was the first 600cc sportbike to do the 1/4 mile in under 11 seconds. I can't verify the accuracy of it, since no actual time was given. I can't find any test articles for free, but I found a website with special areas for owners of each cbr model. Supposedly Cycle magazine said "this is the best Japanese motorcycle we've ever ridden." I guess he knows how to pick 'em!

Cheers on the new ride.
I always wanted a Hurricane, but never got the chance to even ride one.

hey guys its me. 8) That stinks about the site losing its stuff. I'm looking for a good color scheme to put on the bike. I'm trying not to paint the rims. I kinda like the black and red, but would like something that would catch the eye a little more. I'm thinking a yellow and orange theme to compliment the red rims. I was thinking about neon Green, but Kawasaki has already claimed that color. If you have any ideas that would help. Its a great bike. I'm going to be very cautious :motorcycle3: until i learn how it rides. But after that you all beter watch out :motorcycle: I might just pass you by without notice :D
