At what point did your insurance agent ask you if you took it or not? Mine never even asked if I had a license or permit, which I didn't for the first year or so. I'm assuming you have to be the one to bring it up.

Interceptors were always a good starter bike -- not terrific in the power department, but first time riders don't need that. Watch the parts, if it's an older model they'll be tough to come by, at times.
