Hi from Canada

#1 Unread post by Pongo »

Hi all.

My compliments to those who created such a great site.

A bit about myself: I’m a British ex-pat living in Canada for the last 20 years. Got my first road bike a BSA Bantam in 1972 and from then on was bitten by the bug. My favourite was a ’70 Norton Commando 750 Fastback, it had so much character, I had many fun filled years with that. My least favourite was ‘the old cow’ a Honda CD 175, we parted company many times. Currently ride a ‘85 Honda Nighthawk 650 which can at least give me my ‘happy fix’. As always I’ve got my eye open for my next bike, never owned a Suzy or a Harley… time will tell.

Well! I’ve got lots of reading to do now.

Cheers and ride safe.

Welcome, Pongo. I'm curious about your nickname - when I was in the Canadian Army we referred to the Infantry as "Pongos". With the utmost respect, of course.
