How to Fill Up the Gas Tank
How to Fill Up the Gas Tank
Newbie question, yet this is the Newbie forum.
How does one fill the gas tank:
(1) like a car. Insert the nozzle completely into the filler hole and pump until the nozzle shuts off.
(2) like a gas can. Insert just the tip of th nozzle into the filler hole and pump until you visually see gas almost to the top of the tank.
or
(3) some combination of the above.

squeegee on paint... i don't think so, that sponge part has been everywhere, like you said, even tires. Now think about taking that grit filled sponge to your paint...

According to the owners manual.
I stick it in a ways to fill fast close to the top.
Then, pull it out and fill slowly until the level reaches the insert you aren't supposed to fill past......

Yea, they may be dirty, but I really havent scratched the paint. And my bike already has quite a few scratches from previous owners. But I'll keep the microfiber idea in mind for when I get a new bike . . . I know I wouldnt want to risk a paint job I cared about.dr_bar wrote:squeegee on paint... i don't think so, that sponge part has been everywhere, like you said, even tires.
