A couple of the riders seemed new and a lot of the riders around here are inexperience guys with powerful bikes, so I naturally expect trouble.
Saw this going around a corner about 80 miles into the trip:
Captain McCan'tRide tried to keep up with the more experienced rider and the guy with the F4i, and this was the result:
~70 MPH lowside on a blind corner (road turns just under the crest of a hill). His Aplinestar gloves didn't hold up to the chipsealed road:

These new riders around here think they can hang with guys with 10+ years of riding experience. Now I know why insurance rates are so dang high for kids my age!
Remember to wear your gear, all the time, kids. Sure, the gloves busted open on the poor guy, but imagine if they weren't there in the first place. Also, notice that the jeans bursted on impact, so don't think your cotton blue jeans are going to help in the least.
