Welcome fellow Sydney-sider.
I also love the look of naked bikes and there is always a lot of room for mods. The Zeal is a nice looking bike that seems to do everything you would expect from a 250cc machine, the only thing to be mindful of is the tricky little four cylinder engine. I have heard they can be a little on the expensive side to service/repair.

The VTR 250 has a great sound. I had a VTR1000, it was a wonderful bike that was louder than WWII, but I loved it. You can't fault the finish of the Hondas and they will go forever. I would suggest taking a couple of different models for a spin to get an idea of how they feel on the road. They might look great sitting still but be a real dog to ride.
