Brake hardware question

I'm working over everything on my '89 Suzuki Katana 600. First up are the brakes. The lines are old and questionable, calipers need to be rebuilt and the master cylinder needs a rebuild.

The lines are what I'm curious about. I have a few options. The main two I'm looking at are getting the stock rubber lines replaced at a tune of roughly $65 for everything up front. The other is a stainless steel double-line from the master cylinder (needs a new banjo bolt) to the tune of $150 or so, just for the front. This will eliminate the bubble trap in the stock setup, which I've heard can be problematic to bleed.

I plan on riding the bike until it falls apart from under me, but shelling out almost $100 more just for stainless steel seems a bit steep at the moment. On the other hand, the SS lines will provide superb braking all of their lifespan on the bike. :/

I'm about to flip a coin and let fate decide.

If you can force yourself to cough up the extra cash, you'll never be sorry you went with stainless lines.....

he says as he ponders his own economics reguarding a set of steel lines for both his FJ and his 'Zuk...

Looks like I'll go with an aftermarket SS replacement set. A lot cheaper than going with the dual-line setup. Only about $10 more for the SS lines over stock rubber.
