Can you remove farrings?
Can you remove farrings?
After reading a few posts on dropping your bike as a newbie, I wanted to ask this question. Can you remove farrings from a ninja 250 or a suzuki gs500? Are'nt the lights, turn signals etc built into the farrings? And if you do drop a sportsbike, what kind of cost are you looking at to repair farrings? Thanks.

Re: Can you remove farrings?
I bought a ninja 250 for my wife to learn on, she and my daughter-in-law have both dropped the bike twice, the only damage was a broken turn signal and a few scratchs. I found that to be acceptable. That's why we bought an inexpensive bike on which to learn. I wouldn't bother removing them.kerryb wrote:After reading a few posts on dropping your bike as a newbie, I wanted to ask this question.
