The CBX had a lot of torque, but not a lot at the low end. Like most of the inline engines of its era, it was tuned to deliver it's peak torque and hp in the high end of the rpm range. Of course if you wanted torque off the line, you could just rev it up and launch yourself like a drag racer.

if its low end torque you want I would look into something like the SV650 or SV1000. Both are quite sporty and have V-twins and are tuned for low end torque but will still pull right up to redline.

Buells are in the same ballpark as well being V-twin powered sportbikes. Though they are pricey for what you get.

What is the difference between a supersport 600 and a supersport(superbike) 1000?

I sat on a zx-10 the other day, and it felt like a 600, prolly handles alot like one too, but has 50 more horsepower. If you want jump, any supersport 1000 will do.

You honestly dont sound like an experienced rider, so I would stay away from them if I were you. Correct me if Im wrong. Im not trying to be hostile or anything, just trying to see where your coming from.

A Katana 1100 is going to be a big,heavy,and fast bike.

Hi Vobra, you are being a little vague. What do you want the bike for. This will give us a better idea of what to recommend. A CBR 1000 will behave different to a TL 1000. The 600 bikes will be lighter and more agile but do not do well over long distances( not always true) You must have a picture in your head as to what you see yourself doing on the bike. Looking at the posts I also have a picture in my head, it was one I saw on these post where the bike and rider went straight through a car.
