- Maybe it meant the whole headlamp fixture rather than just the bulb.

i dont know if it is the whole thing.the headlight on my 82 v45 sabre went out and the price was $53.00.i said no way and used a car light.had to file a small groove in the bucket for a tab on car light it cost $5.50.

Remove head lite find common ground, ground it, and apply 12 volt to the other two posts endividually. If the lite works both times it is probably good.

get the test light so next time something quits you can check it.it will do more than check headlight wires.
