Looking for help......

#1 Unread post by R Dresden »

Hello all. I'm hoping someone out there can give me some advice. I currently own a 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000a. What I'm looking for is a company/individual that can restore/customize this bike. It has some mild work done to it now but here's my problem.
My other passion is racing USRA Stock Cars here in the mid-west and for the last 2-3 years, I have regrettably ignored my bike and it's upkeep. It hasn't been ridden in at least 2 years and is in some serious need of some TLC. I'm not wanting anything outrageous as far as mods done but I'm looking for it to be a dependable piece like it was when my wife bought it for me 14 years ago. Things like a serious overhaul/rebuilding of the power plant and all cables, rubber, etc., replaced.

If anyone can recommend something, it would be greatly appreciated.
Somewhere within 100 mile radius of my home would be perfect but I'm willing to tow it for the right place.

Thank You in Advance!

There is an excellent forum...Kzrider.com. Guys like me hang out there and share tech info. For your custom work, stay in touch as you get to that point. Also look my threads in the everything else forum here, and the one right here about rattlecan painting. I show my work here and on KZrider, and may be able to help you with the custom work...plus I have a soft spot for those old KZs. 8)

Wow...thanks for the quick reply Ron. As you can see by the number of my posts...this is the 1st spot I've started my search. I will visit that forum you mentioned and hopefully get some more info there as well.

Thanks Again!
