I just finished a 160 mile ride on a 2002 Vulcan 800 with the stock seat, and boy, did my rear take on a new shape... Could anyone recommend a gel seat cover or something that would make a long ride a little more comfortable, short of shelling out the big bucks for a new seat?
Thanks!

Get the Mustang solo seat, it's worth the expense. My girlfriend used to complain about being sore all the time after a long road trip until she got the Mustang for her '01 Vulcan 800 Classic. Now she can ride 11 hour days with me without any pain. FWIW, I also have the Mustang solo on my FLHT.

Gel seats are slick
I have lePera gel seats on most of my bikes and they're great. Worth the money. It even makes my 87 sporty almost tolerable to ride!

I got a suzuki gel seat for my bike, and I hate it. You should look into Corbin seats. I love those.
