Happy Thanksgiving up North

#1 Unread post by BuzZz »

Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all us Canuks today.

I had my big feed yesterday at the In-laws place, Mmmm, Mmmmm, I LOVE turkey!!! And I'm the only one in my family who does, so getting my fill at the In-laws works out good for me. Had a good meal and a good visit and even got to drive my 1/2 ton a few hundred clicks. Haven't driven it since....... well I drove it to the tire shop last month for new rubber, but not since May, really. Hard to load-up me, Lana, 2 dogs and 4 pies on the bike.....

But today, they have our local soldiers out on exersizes.... no Thanksgiving for them I guess. They are out there fireing off artillary like crazy, with the odd plane flying over and dropping what I'm told are 1000lb bombs for effect..... every 8 minutes, like clockwork. The dogs don't react to the shelling, but freak-out when a bomb goes off..... how am I sposed to be a lazy bum and waste the day sleeping like that, I ask you? :?

Hope your day is a little quieter..... time for a big turkey sandwich.... yum, yum.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

We're having crow this year in most of the US. All the turkeys are in Washington, DC.

And a Happy Thanksgiving to you and all my Canadian brothers and sisters, Buzz. There's some turkey leftover from our meal, but it won't be around for long. I like turkey. :D

Sorry you had all that Army noise for background music, but as a former soldier myself I feel for them - Wainwright in October is not the nicest place to be. Having to run around shooting at things during a holiday makes it even worse.

I was surprised they had the boys out today, I figured they would have given them a break today. But no such luck for them. And they used real ordinace today, the Canadian Armed Forces dropping real, actual-money bombs on a few deer is unlike them here. Must be trying to flush them off base for hunting season.....

Please Please Please Guy's spread the news.

ROBERT MUGABE HAS JUST DISCOVERED OIL IN ZIMBABWE. HE HAS THREATENED TO RUIN THE WORLD ECONOMY BY SELLING CRUDE TO THABO MBEKE FOR A DOLLAR A BARREL. SEND IN THE TROOPS.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R
