Strange noise from 1986 FZX700

Hello, I'm trying to figure out the source of a strange noise from my Fazer. It only appears when the air temp is below 45 dergrees. It sounds like an almost an electric whining sound. My thought is it might be the fuel pump going bad. I also thought it may be from the generator.
Can anyone tell me if this bike has a belt for the generator or is just gear driven?

Does the sound go away when the bike warms up or stay constant?
