Sorry Zoo I didn't realize it was a repost and found them on another forum. I do tend to doubt that he "dove off" so much as fell off......not to offend your friend of course....

As for the rider, according to the photographer the guy dove off in lieu of "riding it out" to what was a certain head-on collision and/or plummet off the side of the mountain. I don't actually know the guy, btw.

My wifes cousin would cry if she saw those photos. She has a road king and loves the thing to death. Its even a 100th anneversary road king like that guy was riding.

Zoo your meanie is not a typical cruiser. Its a cruiser built for twisties. About the only cruiser built for twisties that I know of. BTW what do you think of the new red/black paint job on the '06 meanie.

Not to spark an argument on riding gear, but that picture is a prime example of why i prefer to look safe rather than look like a toughguy in my cutoff tee-shirt.

No arguments here. Anyone who rides in a t-shirt/no gloves combo, especially on a route such as the Dragon, is riding on borrowed time.

Well then I will add this: I believe the guy fell off, yet told everyone that he "dove off" as a way of pretending he actually had some control of the situation. I do feel for the guy but it was a rookie move at best....

I like it quite a bit. I think with the addition of my chin spoiler and reaper front fender it'd look pretty tough. Problem would be continuing the red graphics on those new pieces, but I'm sure a vinyl graphics expert could handle it fairly easily.

I tend to agree, though I don't always practice what I preach.

At least the guy was wearing a lid and I bet that saw some hardtop up close.

Yep!...Probably countersteered when he started waving, he was already cranked over to the right and lifting his left hand off the bar most likely made the bike drop further into the corner.

I hope borrowing time isn't like borrowing from the bank.
