Anticiipate!!

#1 Unread post by thaimike »

Having lived in Thailand the past year and riding a local Honda 125cc, the MSF coourse saved my life MANY times, and the most critical aspect was two-fold; one, driving slower with respect to one's skill and conditions, but more importantly was to anticipate and to expect NO ONE TO EVER SEE YOU. I can not portray the myriad amounts of unexpected conditions one encounters here that I never met in the states. You MUST DRIVE DEFENSIVELY. But using my brain and riding my own ride did I survive the cluster without a scratch. Please be safe and have fun.

My rule of thumb for riding my bike is simple: I assume everyone on the road is trying to kill me, and I drive accordingly!
