Sell my bike or part it out?

#1 Unread post by polarelf2003 »

Well, the old girl has an oil leak that I couldnt fix, and my mechanic has had the bike in the shop three times it still leaks. I've been thinking of upgrading to a vstar next year, anyway, so my question is - do you think I'll get more money by selling the bike whole on ebay (in the spring - better prices, of course), or by parting it out?

Parting it out probably. Doubt anyone would want it with an oil leak (assuming you mentioned it had one...and that a mechanic couldn't fix it).
Have fun on the open /¦\

It looks like the left side or the bottom. All of the seals have been replaced on the left side.

And, should I sell the bike, I would feel obligated to mention a small oil leak, I might not feel it necessary to mention that my mechanic, who specializes in classic japanese bikes, couldnt get her fixed. Let the buyer beware when it says, "Sold as is."

Yea, whatever you want to call it: Fate, Karma, God, etc have all kicked me in the teeth a couple of times . . . Perhaps I might be better off parting her out so I dont have the temptation

I've also been told that Hell is filled with people just like me, though
