Cool, man, Please check for me, i went to the dealer and the best guess they gave me was from a 88-89 bandit or katana. Thanx for the help and all, also on this bike do i need an ECU or some kind of ignition Box or can i run the wires from the PEI to the Coil packs. All i have is 3 wires from the PEI, 1 wire for the coil pack that fires 1and 4 and another for 2 and 3. the other wire is hooked to an oil sensor i think. Remeber all i need is the bare minamum for starting it, its just for a go kart.

If it's an oil-cooled motor, you need the CDI box with wireing from another(or the same) oil-cooled motor, Katana, Bandit or GSXR of the same displacement if you want the correct rev limiter built into it. You will also need an oil-cooler and coils.

Part of that harness should be a small, flat, rectangular box. That's the brains of the whole operation, signals the coils to fire at the correct time and handles the advance.... all that handy kinda stuff. It is the expensive and easily fried part of the ignition....

You need both to safely run your engine.
