What brand is good?

I've been searching for helmets on the web and have seen some bad "O Ring" helmets for good prices. I know the more the price is, the better the helmet is. Which of these brands are good? Which are cheap? THe prices seem to good to be true.
Nolan, Z1R, AGV, MDS, Grex, M2R, AFX, and GMAX?

Many expensive helmets are very nice helmets. That said, the statement above is the least true thing I've read all day. If you are talking ventilation and fancy paint, you'll probably have to drop some bucks. But the $600 helmets aren't any safer than a lot of the $100 helmets if you are talking about protection provided for crashes. There have been a lot of threads about this lately - do a search.
