am looking for a nice winter jacket to use but would like to be able to wear it year round (except with its like 95 out)..I would prefer something to be very tight fitting, the jacket i have now is a Joe rocket jacket i got used for like 60 bucks with my bike. It was a great deal but its not leather, I can get cold in it, and its too big. So my main concern is the warmth and preferring the tight fit.
So far I’ve tried on this jacket in person and its tight fitting, heavy, but its perforated leather and im worried how much 30 degree air is gunna be going though there http://www.rapidracer.com/moaplemoja.html
And I’ve seen this one posted on forums and I like it, I don’t think its perforated.

Any body has any recommendations of a jacket that is like what I am going for?

You might want to check out Vanson Leathers. It's quite a bit different in price though.

Alpinestars makes some good stuff too. Some of their jackets have a removable quilted liner.Rock solid construction and the best leather in the industry in terms of durability, crash protection and just plain beauty. Vanson uses American cowhide that is thick, dense and has a shiny smooth finish that just plain 'ole looks expensive. Vanson doesn't go much for features, such as pockets, thermal liners, tricky snaps, zippers, etc., but if we had to pick a garment to slide down the road, this would be it.

I just bought a Vented Racing Jacket from Fox Creek Leather. Best leather jacket I've ever owned. It is lined with mesh and has two vents in front and two in back. Comes with a zip in liner for added warmth.

Anything that's perforated isn't going to do jack-squat when you're at speed to keep you warm.
There are actually some good textiles out there that are warmer then leather, but you need a good fit and closed weave as opposed to mesh design. The key is to find something that fits well, and that you can seal up the openings. Wrists, waist, and neck.

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I would second the Fox Creek Leather suggestion. I am in Canada (OK the west coast so not that cold) and bought the Vented Cordura Racing jacket. Has a zip out Thinsulate vest. Waterproof and warm even below 40F. Trust me on the waterproof claim - almost non stop rain for the last month.
I have not ridden with this jacket during the summer, so I can't comment on the higher temperatures, only that there are vents in the jacket and the vest will be zipped out.
They also make a v1.8 racing jacket which is more tight fitting, something I didn't want...or could get into with my...ummhh... generous waist.

FoxCreek Leather is the source in leather. I have a Classic and love it.KY23 wrote:I just bought a Vented Racing Jacket from Fox Creek Leather. Best leather jacket I've ever owned. It is lined with mesh and has two vents in front and two in back. Comes with a zip in liner for added warmth.
