03 Silver V-Rod

#1 Unread post by Buelligan »

I wandered into my local HD Dealership yesterday, they've taken in a used 03 V-Rod and its too beautiful, Chrome and Brushed Aluminum, with a few extras the owner put on.

They've told me to come in on the next dry day (been having monsoon rains around here) and take it for a test drive. It's in perfect condition with just a small dent on the top of the tank. (Salesman suggested a dropped beer) I used to see this bike around town, but it turns out the owners getting a divorce so HD bought it back for cash.

They want $17,000 (Canadian) but I think I can probably get it for $15,000, it's got 10,000 kmh on it and they'll put on a years warranty. The bikes been well maintained with all the service records.

Anyone here had the chance to ride a V-Rod? Any thoughts on the price?

mmm, VRod..... I say go for it if you like the way it rides. The 06 starts at about $20,000 (I THINK it's in CDN, I did go to the canadian harley site)

Yeah, I'd try to get em down to $15,000 CDN. I would absolutely love one of those, such a hot bike.

If you like it, go for it. I've ridden them and I enjoy them immensely.

Keep in mind, the brushed aluminum frame model is a PIA to keep clean, so invest in some good cleaning products !!!

Other than that, have fun! And be careful w/ all that power ! you can hit 100kph in first on that thing! (iirc)

Soon as we have a dry day, and I'm not working, I'll take it out for a test drive, I think it will be as great to drive as it looks.

Thanks for all the feedback!!!

We have a similar V-Rod @ the stealership I work for and they are asking $23,999 USD for it . Same color , etc.
Don't know how that translates into Canadian money .

This ones got a few extras on it from the previous owner as well.

Now all I need is a dry day to do the test drive, I'm heading down with my neighbour as they've promised us a couple of bikes. Do you think a 5 hour test drive would be enough

I had a weekend on one and I didn't want to return it. You'll probably want to buy it after the test ride ...
